Dark volcanic-stone houses spread across the basalt plateau in the Barigadu. Abbasanta is a Slow Food home of casizolu, a stretched-curd cow’s cheese, and a smart base for the beaches of the Oristano coast. Cagliari, Orosei and Alghero are about an hour away.
Nearby: Lake Omodeo, the woods of Barigadu and Montiferru, and the park of San Leonardo de Siete Fuentes. Oristano is under 30 minutes; from there you reach San Giovanni di Sinis, Is Arutas and Torregrande.
